Award nomination & comeback post

You might remember me.
The person who used to blog on a daily basis? πŸ˜‰
The past month something changed within me and my life.
I will write about everything that has been happening in the past month.
But I didn’t want to have that post as my “comeback” πŸ˜‰

I was lucky to be nominated for an Award by the always amazing Goldie, who also was on a blogging hiatus. But luckily now also returned!

The Questions & Answers:

  1. What scares you?

Mental Illness and the lack of recognition to take it serious scares me a lot.
My own mental illness has scared me often times. During a panic attack, I can become a very different, angry person.

I am scared in the dark too.
I can’t be alone in the dark.
Not in my own house at least. Hotels, still seem to be fine.

2. If you could guarantee living until you’re 100 years old, would you?

As you get older, time seems to move faster.
And I feel like I don’t even get to enjoy half of it.
One of my bigger fears is to work until an old age, die and not being able to enjoy my pension.
I am also very well aware that Jasper is 7 years older than I am.
Might not seem as much now, but as you get older it might make a huge change.
Without him, for me any age is a no.

Did that answer the question? πŸ˜‰

3. Β What would your dream vacation be like?

I like road trips.
Driving the car, listening to music while watching beautiful nature.
Possibly seeing some wildlife.
Walk around.
Eat in a nice restaurant and sleep in a comfy bed.
I don’t mind spending money on a more “luxurious” vacation, because that’s why I save my money for.

4. What’s your morning routine?

I do the things that everyone does; washing myself, fix my hair, get dressed.
I do get up a little earlier to have a moment to drink my coffee and watch or read something.
Listening to music I like is also an essential before getting to work.

5. What is your biggest motivation?

Salary / Money.

6. What is your favorite time of day and why?

When I’m done with everything, showered and in my PJs.
Lately Jasper and I have been enjoying board games. That’s something I look forward to every day πŸ™‚

7. When do you write most and why? (day of week, time of day, etc.)

Not so much lately, have I? πŸ˜‰
I am a morning person, so that’s when I feel most inspired to write.
My brain doesn’t need much “start-up” time, but during evenings my brain feels empty.

My Questions to you:

  1. What would you like to change about your current life? Is it realistic to do so?
  2. What time do you usually go to bed ?
  3. Are you subscribed to something which seems like a waste of money?
  4. Do you think you take good care of your body?
  5. Are you afraid to speak in front of a group of people?
  6. Has Saturday always been your most favorite day of the week?
  7. What food have you been craving the most these days?
  8. Have you ever gone a day without talking?
  9. What do you consider your biggest talent?

I’d like to nominate everyone who comes across this post.
I had some awkward situation with these nominations in the past, so I got a bit scared now to do so.
But please feel free to answer them if you feel like in whatever time frame suits you πŸ™‚
Please let me know the link in the comments if you’re going to answer the questions!

  1. Hehe I’m not a morning person at all but I try to as that’s when I have time to write my blog posts as well!

  2. Welcome back!

I completely agree with the lack of awareness in mental health. After being with someone with serious depression and seeing how it can change someone, I wish everyone is much more aware and knowledgeable in this matter.

  3. Thank you Claire!

Happy to see you support this as well!
I think mainly people who either experienced it or have/had someone close who did, truely understand what consequences it can have.
It’s important to recognize people with this condition as something simple like a talk or a smile can actually save their day πŸ™‚

  4. Welcome back!
    1. I wish I were back in school but I have a few months to wait since my husband is in school currently.
    2. usually midnight.
    3. No.
    4. I don’t. I eat what I want and I rarely exercise. I really should start, I won’t be young forever.
    5. It depends on the group. Sometimes yes and sometimes no.
    6. Not since I’ve started working on Saturdays haha.
    7. Pho. I’m always in the mood for pho.
    8. I don’t think so.
    9. Probably quick thinking.

  5. I’m glad I was able to provide you with an excuse for a “comeback” post.
I completely don’t understand your answer to no. 7. Totally opposite to me.
I mean, yes, if there was an emergency, I could “boot up” quickly, but otherwise, it takes a while.

  6. Welcome home! Glad you are back! Remember you aren’t alone. You can always just say you need encouragement, a prayer, a hug, understanding…..we are here for you. πŸ’•

  7. The usual struggles like not having the furniture and internet in the first few weeks were there.
But we are all settled now.
I’d say everything went still quite well. I think I am even feeling the first signs of happiness πŸ˜‰
I also started the gym and I will really be serious about it now!
    How have you been?

  8. It’s quite rare, I think.
But in my world, at the start of the morning my brain is fresh.
There are requirements though. I need to have good coffee. Not just any coffee, but really good one.
I need to listen to some music. And I need a good night of sleep.
My sleeping patern has been quite good, I must say (knocks on wood).

I think this might be the largest difference between me and you πŸ˜‰

  9. Thank you!
And thanks for answering the question.
I haven’t tried pho yet. Is it Asian? And vegetarian?

I have now started taking better care of my body. I have been looking into skincare routines because my skin is very dry. It was a bit of an investment, but now I clean my skin a lot and it feels and looks so much better πŸ™‚

  10. How great that you got into a gym, not so great about no furniture or internet. I would be flipping out! πŸ˜‚
It’s good here, day by day!
Glad to hear from you πŸ˜€

  11. That’s good! I’m glad you’re feeling better. I’ve missed your posts!
And yes Pho is Asian, it’s Vietnamese and I do believe you can use vegetable broth instead of animal. It’s an amazing soup that is perfect for cold days or if you’re sick or just whenever. ☺️

  12. Hi, Andrea! We so missed you here in the blogosphere. β™‘ I can’t wait to read the post about what you’ve been up to!

I hate the dark, too! & your answer saying “without him, any age is a no” was so sweet!!! I love that you two have been playing board games together, too!

I’m super curious about the awkward situation with someone you nominated… lol you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to though. πŸ˜‰

  13. Thanks Hunida! It feels good to be back! I will need catch up on many blogs and bloggers, but I am looking forward to that!

There was once this new blogger who asked me on how to get more followers. I suggested some methods. One was to participate in the award post.
They were happy for me to nominate them each time I got an award. So I did that.
Later I got a somewhat angry email saying that I should put pressure on them and “enough is enough”.

I felt so uneasy after that.
I didn’t even reply and just stopped following them!!
