Which animal has the cutest (love) story?

Lately both Jasper and I have been into nature series.
“One of the reason I like you is because you like animals”, he said.
My heart melted a bit.

But also because of all the cute animal (love) stories!
Here are a couple of them. If you know more, let me know!

Penguins

If you have watched “The March of the Penguins”, I probably don’t have to say anything.
They seem cute and clumsy, yet they march and slide each year a good 100 km to nearest open water to give their chick the best possible start of their life.

In an extreme coldness, there is so much love and collaboration between the mom and dad and the group.
It’s something us humans should really learn from!

And the result is totally worth it!
Look at that fluffiness!

Otters

Otters hold hands while they sleep so they don’t drift apart.
Do I need to say more?

Cows

This story comes from a friend who moved to a house next to a farm with cows.
One day the little ones where taken away.
We all know they know where they went.
Maybe the moms had same suspicion, because all night they were mooing loudly.
My friend she had never felt so much sadness and empathy and I can totally imagine why!

Dogs

Pets are probably the animals we most relate to because they are around us.
I found this picture on the page of a wonderful fellow blogger Brankica.
I think we all can agree that the happiness and cuteness can cheer up our hearts.
Even my skeptical heart 😉

What is your favorite animal and favorite animal love story? 🙂

  1. So sweet! I loved the animated movie, The Pebble and the Penguin as a child. Though I haven’t seen March of the Penguins, I think it’s a similar idea. I’m currently watching (and obsessed with) Meerkat Manor, which follows a meerkat family through their day-to-day lives. Lots of sweet behaviors and babies, paired with territory battles against rival groups.

  2. I predict this will be your most popular post.

I’ll add the swans. They mate for life. The male swan helps the female build the nest, AND they share egg incubation times.

  3. The only fair answer is: depends on how often I am going reschedule it.
Blogging is a game. Unfair one too.

I looked at the stats. My most popular is “how I got 1000 followers – the honest story” with 288 views and 122 likes.
Followed by the “blog party” blog. So I guess we know what bloggers like 😉

I didn’t know that about swans! Very cute!

  4. Oh I must see Pebble!
The March of the Penguins is not a cartoon, but it shows the actual Emporer penguins! It is very nice to watch!

I have watched the Meerkats as well! It’s like a soap opera and all the little dudes have names! I love how these documentaries are made!

  5. Cute post! I love watching animal documentaries as well.

Definitely Penguins love story is my favorite. I watched March of the Penguins a while back, it was so touching and sad at the same time. So, ended up watching Happy Feet right after to balance it out. 😊

Also, didn’t know about swans! Wow!

  6. I’ve seen March of the Penguins. I started to shiver when the males all grouped together.

Cardinals. They are like swans and geese in mating. We’ve always had a pair or two around the house. About two years ago, I watched with great delight and amusement as a pair tended to their fluffy baby who hadn’t quite got the hang of flying, yet. It was out of the nest and running all over the yard, flapping its tiny wings. Those parents chased it all over the place, making sure it was OK. In my head, I was thinking…Mrs. Cardinal to Mr. Cardinal “Honey, I think I need a drink!” LOL!

  7. Hey Andrea! Nice post!

My favorite love story is that of my Teddy bear.

My mother gave it to me the moment she held me in her hands when I was born and I never let it go since.

In fact, he sleeps in my bed with me every. single. night.

Call me a kid, I call it true love. 😀

Thanks for sharing! 🙂 Looking forward to reading more! 🙂

  8. Aww that little heart comic & the otters are so cute! My fave animals are kitties & I love watching the videos of them on FB lol.

  9. I have always been a fan of the Canadian geese. If one gets injured or sick and can not keep up, one goose will lag back so that it is not alone. It will stay with it until it is better or it dies. Then that well goose will catch up with the rest of the flock.
