The Dutch word for “happy birthday” is “gefeliciteerd”.
Try to pronounce that 😉
The actual translation of “Gefeliciteerd” is “Congratulations” .
So that’s what people, to my great annoyance” would say on someone’s birthday in English.
Whut? It’s not like they achieved anything.
The same I feel about these circulating awards.
People put a huge amount of effort to write one of those. And other’s would dump a “Congratulations” in the comments and leave.
That’s not really fair, is it?
That’s why I never really participated in one.
And also, the placing the picture and these rules annoy me.
Also, I don’t want to put pressure on anyone by nominating them.
HOWEVER, this time I was nominated by Floating Gold., which I only discovered recently.
I don’t want to be an ass kisser, but this is really a must read blog.
It’s only of those that makes you feel frustrated if they don’t post for a day.
Anyhow! I was asked to place 7 facts about me.
Here we go:
- I am a vegetarian.
But not for hipster reasons. It’s more based on a childhood trauma which made me never want to eat meat again since the age of 9.
- I named one of my fish after an electrical component.
This is to remind myself of my roots. I feel like I am growing into a manager’s position which has never ever been my aim.
- Most my blogs I write in less than 15 minutes.
I guess feel embarrassed to read them again, so there are usually quite some spelling/grammar mistakes. I apologize for those.
- I have an identity issue.
The place I was born, spent my childhood and started my adulthood are not the same.
- I am not rich, but I do believe I am financially more comfortable than other people my age.
And no, this is not due to rich parents.
- I don’t like summer at all.
- I have dyed my hair many colors (not extreme colors).
I still don’t which one I like the most.
So, I am not going to nominate anyone specifically, but please do feel free to share your facts about yourself. Or just one or two in the comments.
And don’t forget to not congratulate me 😉
