Do you have “a system”?

I always pictured myself as a sophisticated adult woman.

On my way to work, I’d quickly grab a newspaper before stepping into a subway, wearing a fancy trench coat and functional, yet trendy laptop bag.
I’d never have a bad hair day, a pinching bra or not my color foundation.

The reality is slight more unfortunate.
Every morning I am hurrying to fix my hair, take whatever is left for lunch and my keys are always playing hide and seek.

I went out for dinner with a friend today.
At the cash desk she took out this big, fancy wallet.
“Half my life is in here”,Β she laughed.
I was embarrassed to take out mine 🧐

Although I do whatever I can to keep the house clean, it’s not necessarily tidy.
I lack of system.
Partly it’s laziness.
Another part is that I really haven’t thought this through.

Preparation is key.
Lunch, clothes, hair, work necessities, keys, passport, bottle of water.
Most things can be prepared the evening before.

Investing is key.
Comfortable shoes and bra, shampoo which doesn’t make your hair frizz, functional bag.

Thank for reminding yourself, Andrea.
You’re going to work on this.

  1. That is so cute! Everyone is different. Me personally, I used to be WAY organized and overly clean. Since my son was born, that has taken a back seat and it’s not too organized anymore but at least it’s clean!

  2. Is it bad that I was so confused when I started reading this blog? 😑 I know you a bit too well to know that wasn’t true πŸ˜€ You always complain about your hair for example. Which looks fine by the way.

  3. I do have a system for everything I do. However, most people either doesn’t understand,it doesn’t make sense to them or there is something wrong with my system in their eyes.
