Hello, Halloween

Christmas, New Year’s eve, Easter.
All holidays we loved as a kid.
We got loads of presents. We got to stay up late. We got to seek for chocolate eggs and eat them.

Somehow, when you grow up, they seem to be a lot less fun.
You have to visit your family, you have visit your partner’s family. Everyone deserves a presents. And forget about the romantic evening for the two of you.
And I definitely hate the dressing up thing and posing on photo’s.

Except for during HALLOWEEN!
Actually this not celebrated so much within Europe.
The first time I actually got to experiences was last year when we were on a road trip in Canada. I love the Fall and I love the amazing Halloween decoration and even more the inspiration to draw things. So I am extremely excited for Canada this year again!

What about you guys, what is your favorite holiday?

  1. I think birthdays are the only real ‘holidays’ because they belong to us…the rest are all too commercialized now. Business has taken what could be good and ruined it by wanting them to be all about money. It’s hard to get away from it even if you try….So let’s be grateful for every day and make each one something to celebrate! 🙂

    1. I agree with the commercialized holidays! It’s ridiculous.
I personally don’t really like, nor celebrate my holidays and find it stressful to buy a present for someone, because I don’t want to disappoint them.
But I agree with you, let’s celebrate each and every day 🙂

  2. Definitely halloween, or to be more specific, the whole month of october. I decorate on the evening of 30 september. I come from a family where we have traditions for almost every holiday. Why not enjoy and make what ever you can special in life 🙂
