Culture thing

I haven’t been traveling much around the world as I would like too.
However, I have been very lucky to meet expats within one silly hostel in Denmark where I lived in for 4 (!) years.

I ate Iranian halve, was taught how to make the best Italian Tiramisu, was introduced to Polish Vodka, Belgian Beer and some of the best French wines. I tried to dance the Kazachok, spell my name in Chinese and learned about the several Indian Gods.

I thought might be nice if we could all share something typical from our own country.

If you would like to participate, please use “#culturething”
I’m not entirely sure how the hashtag thing works actually, but please also let me know in the comments if you would like “tag” alone Β πŸ˜‰ Then I will make sure to check it out!

I will start with how the Dutch / Belgian Flemish eat their fries: Out of a triangle shaped bag!
If you’re planning to visit either one of the countries, make sure you get one. You’ll easily recognize where to get it by meeting one of these dudes:

Have you seen one before?
Don’t forget to share one of your “culture things” πŸ˜‰

  1. That fries-dude looks fun!

    My culture thing:
    – When my family meets up, we always seem to send up eating a big meal, then going for a long walk. I’m from the UK.
    – I lived in Japan for a while and loved lots of their culture things too. Like eating KFC at christmas, or mochi at new year.

Both of those were about food. Oops.
